DS is 20mths old now, and just got off his bedtime bottle. He has been on a sippy full time since 12mths, but was still getting the bedtime bottle. This past Friday I decided enough was enough. Instead of the bottle we brushed his teeth, read 2 books, and off to bed. Went perfectly! 4 nights in a row now, and not one whimper for a bottle. I swear, it must be a fluke because I didn't think it would be this easy! Boy am I happy it was though!

dd was off the bottle by the time she was one, we started throwing in a sippy cup at 1 or 2 feedings about 10 months and at first she wasn't thrilled but then just got used to it and accepted it by the time she was 1. We also dis-couraged the pacifier at the same time and she accepted that okay too. Hope this helps!

Well, I was a bad mommy, but you will all be glad to know that my kids had no lasting effects!!! My oldest was about 2, 2nd was about 1.5, 3rd about 1, 4th was 3.5 (eek!), 5th was 2.5, 6th was 2.5 and 7th was about 1. They are all well adjusted and have no lasting problems from their prolonged bottle exposure!

Happymom - with that many children in the house, you definitely need to pick your battles!! You are anything but a bad mom.
