This is totally me right now.

One of my students brought deer jerky to class as a snack and I almost hurled. A few days later another teacher brought me a sausage roll and I was almost sick again. Finally, one of my girl students said, "Oh I see what's going on here!" and she guessed I was pregnant--and we haven't really told people yet!

Dh thinks my sense of smell is a freakish thing. He thinks I'm funny when I walk around sniffing and grossing out about stuff.

I lost a lemon in my refridgerator. I knew it was in there because I could smell it rotting. It was awful! DH, who is a picky eater and has a sensitive nose (I'm usually not like that at all!), couldn't detect it, but I couldn't open the fridge! So I finally took EVERYTHING out and found it, but for the next 6 months could smell it on everything, even after a good wipe-down. I still can't take lemon in my water anymore, but I'm slowly getting to stand it better now.

When I was in my first couple of months of pregnancy, when smells bothered me the worst, dh decided to pick up a new hobby--drying garlic. Inside our tiny townhouse. It's really a wonder that he lived thru that one.

Absolutely - both pregnancies, no matter what grocery store I would go to I would SWEAR I could smell rotten meat. It was gross.
