When the girls were babies they knew the signs for mommy, daddy, food, milk and more.

I just started trying to teach my 12 mo this week. I want to teach her eat, drink, all done, more, hurt, sleep. Maybe I'll see if they have those DVDs at my library.

I also highly recommend the signing time videos. We adopted a little boy (23 months) with cleft lip/cleft palate from China last May. Just before he came home, we bought several Signing Time DVDs and we all learned a lot of signs. Our son has serious speech issues so the signs are very helpful and all three little ones love to watch them. They are very entertaining.
