I can't remember with my daughter but with my son, I probably called 4 times. Three of them were after normal hours and only 1 after 9 p.m. but I thought I was going into labor!

I should have asked ... did you have a risky pregnancy or just a lot of questions?

I had a high risk pregnancy. I had Placenta Previa with the cord down there and the possiblity of a septum in my uterus and a miscarriage from the septum. I spent the last two weeks at the hospital on bed rest. I was even there on my birthday. I guess the septum is gone. I think my doctor would of said something when she had me on the operating table cause you would notice that.

Once with the first pregnancy when I hit a deer on the interstate. She had me come in just to listen to the heartrate, and to check me over to make sure we were ok.

More times than I can count. The first 2 hardly ever, the 3rd one only when I went into pre-term labor. They stopped it and I was put on partial bed rest. The next four: way too many times to count!! They were all very high risk with many problems with pre term labor. Heck with #6 I spent over a week in the hospital at one point and went home with a terbutaline pump, a contraction monitoring machine that hooked into the phone line and a visiting nurse. I was in constant contact with my dr's office. With my last child I spent 5 months on complete bedrest (some of the old timers here may remember this). I saw my dr at least once a week and called frequently.

Towards the end of the pregancies, I would call a few times because I thought I was in labor. I did it a few more times the first time. I was at the hospital for a breastfeeding class and was sent to the birthing center because I was having false labor. I felt like such a goober. They put me on the machine and said they were good contractions but it was false labor. I ended up going home. I got so tired of timing contractions!!

I've called twice, both times after hours - once for a stabbing pain under my belly button around 6 months, and the second time at 8 1/2 months when I slipped baby first trying to get my 200 lb butt out of the tub. Got sent in for monitoring both times

...and if this baby doesn't come out soon, I'm going to call again to warn them that I'm taking myself to the hospital and will refuse to go home without a baby!

I don't think I ever called. I never had any questions that couldn't wait until the next appointment. No, let me clarify: I never had any rational questions that couldn't wait. The irrational ones were obviously irrational so I just tried to not think about them. I have easy pregnancies apart from the normal morning sickness/exhaustion.
