"Holy sh*t! No way!" Then I was happy :D We had been trying for a year, and I had my annual scheduled in two weeks, and we were going to discuss fertility testing. Obviously didn't need to then! I called to have my appointment changed from an annual to a prenatal.

DH was working on the boat, and I brought the test out and put it on the boat. I think he just looked at it for a few minutes straight, and said something like "Huh." He's not very expressive sometimes LOL! I know he was happy, he just shows it a bit different!

Then when that wore off, I instantaneously knew my life was about to change forever.

I was completely excited both times...

With my first DD I was super surprised, I was only 20, on the pill and in college. I just never thought it could happen! My other 2 were more planned, but to this day my first DD changed my life like no one else, what a happy blessing kids are!

I laughed, and DH laughed to, I think we did not know what else to do, after we got done laughing my first thought was oh no I did not eat lunch today, I better eat something!!

Honestly? My first thought when I found out I was pregnant at 19 (when we had previously planned to wait until we'd been married at least 5-6 years) was:

"OH S**T."

And then there were no thoughts. I just sat down on the (closed) toilet and smiled and realized I was happy about it.

For what it's worth, it was the only single time we had not used real protection and tried to use the rhythm method. I miscalculated.

With dd2, we were trying and it was my first month not breastfeeding dd1. I knew immediately (immediately following conception, no kidding) but waited until a few days before my period was due to test so as not to waste tests.

well my oldest i was soo sick I didnt think anything of it!!
Till later! and when I did I was happy!! (except the sick part)
youngest well she was not planned either!! and I was thinking I was not ready but thought about it more and realised I was happy and all!!


This one well I am still shocked asn I had a miscarrieage in Dec and got preg soo fast after!! of course we are really happy about it!! just shocked!!

First thought: "Whoa! This is real now!"

But, I was very happy and very, very thankful I didn't have to deal with fertility issues like my mother and a lot of my friends.
