And are you happy with your decision? (not are you happy that you had children, but was the age you decided to have a family work out for you!?)

The reason why I am asking is that in our family people tend to have children later in life, but DH and I really have baby fever and are open to any advice and suggestions.

When we had ds, I was 30 and dh was 34. I would have liked to start having children in my mid to late 20's, but life doesn't always work out the way you planned, I did not get married until I was 28. I am currently TTC #2 and I am 32, we plan on only having 2 children.

I had DS when I was 29 and DH was 36. It was a great age for us. I can't imagine having kids younger than that. I didn't feel ready until that point.
We plan to try for #2 within the next year so I will be 31 or 32 and DH will be 38 or 39.

Well...our first baby was a bit of a 'surprise'...he was born before Dh and I had been married a year! I was 25. We had our second child 3 years later (planned).

We were married at 25 & 26. We wanted to be married for two years before we had kids. We were married for two years and two weeks. We got preggo with ds on the first try and dd was a suprise ~ I was on the pill and ds was only 14 mos when we conceived.

I don't regret it at all. I hope to still feel young when and if I have grandkids.

Dh and I got married when we were 18. Had dd at 19 and ds at 25. Don't regret starting our life together and family so early.

DH and I got married at 26 then had our first child at 28. We are expecting our second child and we are now both 31. We seem to feel these are the right ages for us personally.

You must go with your own feelings! Just remember kids change EVERYTHING! It is so hard to explain, but DH and I sure don't do the same things we used to do. But, we are enjoying the life we have.

I had my oldest child 20 days after I turned 25. My husband was 27. We have no complaints so far.

I got married at age 20 Dh was 25 and we wanted to get pregnant 2-3 years after marriage, right before our two year anniversary I found out I was pregnant with my first baby!! I will be 23 and DH is 27 when our child is born!!

I am so glad that i did not wait until later in life to have kids, or get married right now I love my life
