I always wanted to, but he was always there when I took the tests and could tell right away when we were preggo.

I've heard of some fun, creative ways to spill the news. Did anyone do something special?

No ... the first one he was there with me. Well in the next room! And the next one I was so angry with the dang cashier at Safeway all I could do was complain about that. Not to mention that was when he worked weekend with the group home and we had like 10 teenage boys in the next room.

But, and this is kind of off topic but still a cute story! My husband had worked with the group home probably four months when we found out we were pregnant with our daughter. Anyway, we agreed NOT to tell people for like two months -- which my husband completely ignored. Anyway, he picked me up with the boys one morning and as I got into the car with all of them (this was like 8 boys plus my husband) they all clapped for me. He had just evidently told them about our pregnancy. I was so embarassed! Who ever said teenage boys can't be sweet? It is one of my favorite memories!

Not really, I just called and told him. When I found out the sex of the baby it was a different story. I went to the store and bought the cutest handmade pink sandals they had, then bought a yellow gift bag and some yellow tissue paper. When he got home from work the first thing he asked was if it was boy or girl so I told him to look in the bag. He took out the sandals and stared at them for about 10 minutes, then turned to me with a smiled and exclaimed "Were having a girl!". A second later his face fell. I asked what was wrong and he said that he had just realized that she's going to date. LOL

With DS, DH knew I was pregnant before I knew. It was probably the 50th pregnancy test I had taken and I was sick of seeing negatives - I had to take the test for work (I worked as a CNA and they were treating a patient for shingles and needed to treat all the caregivers, but you can't get the treatment if you're pregnant). Anyway, I took the test and then climbed back in bed and made DH look. When I went back into the bathroom he told me.. :D We called off work (bad I know!) and went to his parents house. He walked in the house, and threw a hamburger bun in the oven, and set the timer for a couple minutes. When it went off, his mom came into the room to see what was beeping (b'c she didn't put anything in the oven) and when she opened the oven door, it took her a few seconds to put it together.

When my sister found out she was pregnant (she was stationed across the country), she sent flowers to my parents with "Congratulations Grandpa & Grandma!" card in them. My sister in law just found out she was pregnant and they bought a set of little tiny blue booties and put one in a box of Valentine's Day chocolates to give to her parents.
