while he/she is sleeping?

When they were babies I would check on them once before I went to bed.

A few times a night. I have to be careful though he has a "squeaky" doorknob and he is a super light sleeper. He will open his eyes almost every time I open the door.

Mine is a year old. I ALWAYS check no her before I go to bed, and when she sleeps the night through...sometimes I wake up anyways so I just go peak in and cover her up. Then of course, first thing in the morning before anything else! (assuming I'm up first!)

I let my husband talk me into a video monitor. I was able to check on the monitor. I would check on her before I went to bed and if I woke up during the night.

My babies always slept in my room so i checked on them a few times during the night.....whenever i woke up.

Now during nap time i check on the little ones that i take care of several times during the time that they are asleep. I need dh to oil the squeak in the door so it won't wake them up all the time.

I check on Bob before I go to bed. He's 2 1/2 and I don't worry so much about him. Jamie sleeps with me, so I obviously look at him before I go to bed and then if I wake up in the night, I look over at him.

I wanted to add: They both snore and I hear them all night, anyway. (I have a baby monitor for Bob)

My dd is 17mts. I do not check on her after she goes to bed. I did check on her a few times when she was younger, but mostly she wouldn't sleep very long so I didn't need to check on her.

Also her door squeaks too and I just never wanted to risk waking her up.

My mom however used to check on me when I was a baby quite a few times in the night. She even used to hold a little mirror under my nose to make sure I was breathing.
