Well I have been sick since Wednesday morning. Thought it was just normal pregnancy stuff when I threw up twice and had diarreha well it continued into Thursday. At around 12:30 P.M. I started getting contractions and intestinal cramping. At first it was 30 minutes apart then 45 then 15 minutes. I knew I was dehydrated because everything I drank I was throwing up and the contractions were concerning me.
I called the office and they told me to go right to triage. Chris's parents came and got them and we got to the hospital around 4:30 P.M. They said I was definetly dehydrated and I was the 3rd person in a row that needed to have fluids. By now I'm having contractions and severe cramping every 10 minutes. Well they hooked me up to the monitors right away and baby was doing good. The doctor checked and I was not dialated at all. Phew. Sigh of relief. They pumped the first bag in within an hour which stopped the contractions. My intestinal cramping continued and it is still continueing. This morning they have been about once an hour which doubles me over in pain and rushes me to the bathroom.
They also did an ultrasound baby looks great but would not cooperate for a picture. My fluid id high but the kidneys look great and the baby seems to be around 5lbs. It is head down facing my back.
I am no longer hurling but if I still have diarrehea this afternoon they want me to call the office and get on some immodium. I also will need a follow up visit next week.
We got home from the hospital a little after 10:00 P.M. and had a rough night sleeping. Chris is off the rest of the weekend and I am under strict orders to just take it easy.
