I was wondering if anyone noticed a change in the baby's activity before you went into labor?

Just curious as today my baby is unusally highly active. Most days I feel her for a minute. But ALL day she has been bumping around in there. I'm sure she isn't ready to come out yet as she hasn't really dropped yet.

Don't know what to tell ya cuz I was induced with both, but they usually say they don't move so much when it's near.

If I remember correctly - I believe all of mine were a little inactive before delivery - I used to push on my belly just to get them to move

I was induced with the first, but with the second, activity was way less before making an entry.

The baby does not move much before the onset of labor is because when the head is engaged in pelvis, the baby simply can not move as much as before she dropped. Basically your pelvis holds the baby's head so she can not wiggle freely.

She IS moving today, though, right? I don't want to scare of you, but a baby that seems to be moving way more than normal could be in distress. You keep an eye on actual fetal movement today..not where you think..but do the thing where you lay down and WATCH for it...just to make ME feel better!!

Yes, she moves! I check for the 12 movements every morning and every night. If she wasn't, I would call the midwife in no time!
