I'm looking for some suggestions on a brand of sling/wraps or whatever you call them that you carry your baby around. I've never used one before, we did have the Bjorn but never really used it so I sold it last year. Anyway, I'm thinking a wrap/sling thing would be much easier since this will be #4 and it will be nice to have my hands free. So if money were no object, what is the best brand/type out there? Especially b/c I do have some back problems so it's got to be comfortable!!

I use a pouch sling. I've used this with both my dd's and my nephew and my nieces however with our next children I will be trying out the mei tai. Thankfully I sew so I am able to make my own.

I don't even know what sites to point you in as I don't purchase from anyone else.

Good luck in your search!

I use a Hotsling (Welcome - Hotslings) mostly. I've also used a ring sling that my mom made for me. My cousin makes and sells wraps, kind of like the Moby wrap. The best place for babywearing info is TheBabyWearer.com. You can learn about every type of baby carrier known to man. They also have a great photo gallery as well has special forums that will help you choose they type of carrier for you.

I second the babywearer.com its a good info site..

I use a Ella, Mei Tei, and ring sling.. Just depends on what I'm doing... Ergo's are good to but cost alot..

You can get patterns online, and make one yourself

Ergo's are the best. They are more expensive (about $90), but you can use them in many different ways: sling (from which you can bf), front, back, and hip. It also can be used as they grow, it accomodates heavier kids, my friend was just using hers the other day at the zoo with her 2 year old on her back.
I had a bjorn, which was great for ds the first 6/7 months and then a snugli that could go on my back, but it wasn't comfortable. I'm tempted to buy an Ergo for #2 even though we only plan on having one more, since it is so versatile and can be used for so long.

ETA: I also have a Moby wrap, but only was comfortable using it when ds was a little infant and wanted to snuggle against me, as soon as he was facing out it didn't feel secure to me for some reason.
