The girls names are not ones I have heard alot of around here. Of course I have an Emily, but she is 22.

i did not give mine trendy names...at our school we have 22 emily's and almost as many emma's( there is 305 kids at our school). jacob's and joshua's and david's...at least two per class( jacob's more then in some classes).

Yeah, I look at the list so that I can avoid any names on the top 20. I had 5 Jennies in my 4th grade class. They were reduced to "Jennie H, Jennie C, Jennie S, etc". What a way to take away a kid's individuality...give them a name that 4 other people in their class are going to have. We even had two people in my graduating class with the EXACT same name!! Middle name and everything!!!!

I was born in 1970 and the BIG name for girls was Michelle I know a ton of them

I do have a Joshua but I just really liked the name!

We were originally going to use the name Emily for our little one, but I couldn't stand the thought of her being one of many in her class all through school! We really do love that name though-it was hard to give it up!
