Yup, poor DS woke up this morning at 5:20 vomiting. Again. That's the third time in two weeks! This time he threw up 6 times (the last two were just bile) before being done for the morning, and then got nasty diarrhea at about 2:30. Poor kid!! I called the doctor and she was like, well at this point it's probably not a bug (no one else has caught it), and since it's the third episode, he should probably be checked out. So I'll call and make an appt. tomorrow.

What could be causing this pattern?? Oh, and it's always undigested food that he's throwing up, which I'm sure is significant. This morning it was carrots (which he'd had for an afternoon snack the day before) and green beans (which went with dinner), and they all came out looking pretty much like they had gone in.

I hope the doctor can give me a clue, here, because I don't know how much more of this I can take!

I just googled it and vomiting is so vague.... gosh

does he have yellowish eyes or a "fruity" smell to his breath?

I forget which one of my kids did this... but when one of them had the stomach flu they kept vomiting long after the actual virus went thru his system. When I went to the dr. I was told it was kinda like a reflux issue. That his body needs to relearn how to keep food down as it seemed to happen more at night/sleep times. I was told to tilt his mattress (put a pillow under it) to keep food "down" in his intestines more. It went away after a couple of days of doing this.

Hope that helps....
