Just don't expect your hubby to carry it!

In keeping with the 'saver' part of the Mommysavers forum, do you really need another diaper bag? I know it is cute, but is that really the best way to spend that gift money?

It is for me so shouldn't I be able to buy myself something? I spent the 50 dollar gift card I got for Christmas on stuff we needed like diapers and food. What are you the money police? The money was for me so what else should I get for ten bucks? What if I bought myself a new shirt maybe I don't necessarily need it but why can't I buy something for myself once in awhile. You don't know me so I don't want or need your advice. I didn't ask if I should have gotten it. I just asked if I could use it for a boy. Thanks anyway but I find your comment rude go mess up someone else's birthday. Furthermore I am saving the rest of the money not that it is your business.

Whoa! I didn't mean you couldn't treat yourself. It just that you said you already had a diaper bag. Seems to me, if you were going to treat yourself, you might want to spend the money on something a little less 'practical' and more of a real splurge. How about a pedicure? How about a special plant for the garden? A book you've been aching to read? A special candle or reed diffuser? A tennis lesson?

We're 'mommy' 24/7 as it is. You get to spend $20 on just you. I was thinking you might want to spend the money on something unique, not duplicating something you already own.

Ok sorry, I see what you are saying now. But in my line of work a pedicure isn't pratical. I have plenty of books and I don't read much at the moment, I guess I could have used a plant but the weather isn't motivating me. To be honest I did need another diaper bag because the big one's handles are falling apart and it is starting to hurt my back so I wanted to down size a bit for now unless we go away for a few days or something and need the small bag. I am one of those people that feels guilty for spending money on myself so I take it personally sometimes. Sorry if I was harsh I guess it hurt my feelings.

Sounds like a super cute diaper bag! I often carried a really big purse that wasn't at all intended to be a diaper bag, but it worked and was stylish. Sounds great!

I am still using that free one from Enfamil and I must say that there are many times when I wish that someone would 'gift' me a nice pretty one! I won't go buy one myself b/c I don't technically 'need' it but it would be nice...
good for you for getting something that you want with your bday $$
