Does anyone know of other programs that are similar to WIC in Pennsylvania? DH and I don't qualify for WIC because of his income level, but making ends meet is so difficult. A friend of mine told me about a website to offer some assistance to people that wasn't based on income, but she can't find it anymore.

Does anyone know of any programs?

I also Live In PA -

I don't think There Is any other Type Of Assistance Besides Welfare Benifits and WIC - And If You Don't Qualify For WIC You Won't Qualify for Anything Else.
From What I Remember , Wic had Pretty High Income Guidlines.

I think Alot Of Hard working families are In the Same Boat Unfourtunatly -

Have You Checked Out Angel food Ministries or Is There any Assistance Programs at Local Churches?

In the Past I Know Our Church has Helped People For A Few Weeks Or Months , As Needed. People Who Didn't Qualify for any type of actual Assistance.

Check with your local community action. In Nebraska, if you don't qualify for WIC, you may qualify for commodities. Here is a website for the Community Action Partnership: Welcome to the Community Action Partnership Home Page

ETA: You can also call the WIC office and ask if they know of any other place. My WIC office is the one who told me about commodities.

WIC is the only other program i know of besides the assistance. If ur not to far over the levels check back with them i believe the income guidelines raise every may or june.
