Ok, so I know this is last minute, but in 3 1/2 hours I will be leaving for a weekend away with my mom, sis, and dd. Problem is that we will be staying in a hotel that's just one room-we originally thought it was a suite. Anyways, DD goes to bed at 7. Any ideas on how I can keep the light out of her pack-n-play so the rest of us don't have to go to bed at 7?? I mean, I like to go to bed early, but not THAT early!

How long does it take her to go to sleep? You could just turn tv and lights off until she falls asleep. Or maybe stand out the door. Will she wake back up if you turn lights and tv on after she goes to sleep? I usually rock Sammy to sleep and then put him in the pack n play. Maybe you could do that and have mom and sis go out of the room for a few. HTH

This may seem like a stretch but I did it when I was visiting friends. We put the pack and play in the bathroom and closed the door. When you are sure she is out cold slowly transfer it to the other room.

Make sure everyone goes tinkle before hand!! I'm sure they can hold it for an hour or so!

So here's what I ended up doing-I put her in the closet! Well, sorta. It was big enough for me to stick her pack-n-play in with wise, but length wise it stuck out into the hallway. We still had enough room to get around and I just threw a blanket around the sides so she couldn't see the light. I also pulled it up over the coat rack above it so she couldn't see the light from the top. She had like 5 feet of space between her and the top of the blanket. It worked and I think it helped keep her warm too (my sister likes it freezing!)

Good idea! She goes to bed at 7??? I am jealous What time does she get up in the am? My DD doesnt go to bed until b/w 8-9 and is up by 7:30 usually. She is not the greatest sleeper.

She usually wakes up anywhere between 6:30 and 8. Most of the time its right around 7:30. She also give me two 2-hour naps during the day. 10-12 and 3-5. I'm soooo lucky!

We just had this problem... We ended up keeping her up late and going to bed early ourselves on the nights she wouldn't sleep with the lamp on. The time difference was in our favor a bit.
