We have poop problems here, too. Bob is older than your daughter, but our next step is a stool softener. We go through this every couple weeks and it's so hard to deal with.

thanks for all the responses! you gals are great

they wanted to see her this afternoon, felt up her butt and no stool was there which was strange so they sent her for an x ray of her tummy.... should know more in an hour or so

The applesauce and cereal might be binding her? Those are typically foods you give when their stools are loose. I'd check with my ped. again. I know pear juice used to help a friend of mine whose daughter had 'problems'. Good luck!

Sorry you are going thru this. I hope she goes soon. Noah doesnt have that problem I can say the word poop and then he goes.

The x ray was fine, showed lots of poop and no blockage,
all which came out this morning, after 2 doses of milk of magnesia per dr orders

Today I have to go get her blood drawn and cathed again to rule out some thing like thyroid disfunction and some rare constipation disorder.... and to see if any of this is linked to her uti"s

She has maxed out most of her 7 day allowance on pooping.... poor girl, she really struggled today

but thank god it is OUT!!! lol

Good for you and your DD. I can imagine the relief that you had, more than her. DD had once and from then on she was ok, so i guess it won't be a problem.
