Even though my little man is 2 yrs old, I thought this board would be more suitable..

DS is officially done BFing and as of today my left boob (why only my left? who knows, but I am thankful!) is really engorged and boy does it hurt. I don't think I have been this engorged since I BF DD almost 3 yrs ago

Any suggestions to make it stop?? I tried putting on a bra and it has almost made it hurt more

Benadryl and Cabbage leaves work wonders, just make sure you change the cabbage leaves after they are ...um...cooked Good luck

Thanks!
I have Benedryl, so I will try that. But as far as the cabbage... I don't have any. Do you think lettuce would do the same trick (jk)

I pumped to relieve it. I just pumped a little less each day. With a history of mastitis, I couldn't leave it there to chance.

This is what I am worried about. My whole boob isn't hard, it's just a few lumps in there that are hard (I'm pretty sure its my milk sacks and not a cancer lump because it came on suddenly and I can move it around a bit) .

Ouch...sounds like clogged ducts. Try massaging it in the shower, and then pump. Ibuprofen can help w/the inflammation, if any, but if it shows red or streaky, contact the Dr., because antibios will be in order.

I would massage and try to pump just a little bit to see if those spots go away. I had to do that for a week after I officially stopped just to get that last little bit out.
