My little cough and cold turned into a full blown sinus infection! Every time I blow my nose green play dough comes out, gross I know, sorry! I feel like my face is sliding off! My ob dr just called me a perscription for an antibiotic because my regular DR who is 45 minutes one way wont be in the office until Wed! Im so glad to get this infection under control because I didnt want to go into labor with a cold and then give it to the baby. Now all i have to worry about is my severe asthma (due only to being pregnant) and the problems it will cause when it is time to push and my low blood platletts. What else can go wrong, leprosy???

In my expierence I found out that my baby girls stole my beauty but that boys steal your health! (im having a boy!) lol I just felt like venting a little!

aww i hope you feel better real soon! ask your dr if you can take EmergenC - it's a vitamin supplement with a ton of vitamin c in it that really boosts your immune system. even if you are sick, it will help you get better sooner.. you can find it at walmart. (here's their website Emergen-C)

I had asthma issues as well! It was really hard on me when I was pushing - I actually passed out between contractions .. Kind of freaked out DH. I suggest that if you are already dealing with asthma, when you go into labor, get some Pitocin to help you along. Prolonged labor is exhausting and hard on a laboring woman's body (in addition to the labor!), so it made things worse. [My dr refused to help me along and I was in labor for 3 days before delivering.]

I've never heard the quote about boys stealing health and girls, beauty. Interesting wives tale!

My dr put me on a antibiotic for 5 days. So i hope that helps! I have been drinking watered down hot OJ, sounds gross but is really good. But nothing has helped, so I hope the meds do,

I probably will get pitocin they did that for both my other DDs. I dont want to pass out between contractions! That must have been hard! Im on Prednesone now and advair. I go to the OB on Wed and we decussed last time I was there, that she might take the baby if my platelets were down.

I heard that girls steal your beauty when you are preggo, which was totally the case with me! The part about boys stealing your health is my DH, which seems the case with me!!! I have never looked better or felt the worse since becoming preggo with my little boy!!!
