I say wrap the hpt and give it to him when he comes home.

With first DD I told DH at dinner time. I told him that I had to make a doctors appointment because I felt I had a growth around my stomach area. I said that I had to find out which kind of growth it was.... and he said are you talking about malignant or benign? and I said no.. I need to find out if it is a boy or a girl. He was mad for about one second.

I just found out a couple of weeks ago that I am pregnant again, and this time DH told me like 3 days before I missed my period, do you have any preg. test here at home I think you are going to need it. I told him that afternoon when I produced the test from behind my back.

Ok, here's what I ended up doing:

I couldn't bring myself to spend the gas to go see him at lunch so I just waited until he came home. Of course I think I talked to him more on the phone yesterday than I ever did. Talk about biting your toung! We came home and ate dinner. I had several chances to tell him then. While we were saying the supper blessing he said "bless this food" and I wanted to say "and our baby" but I knew he would think of Clara. I made brownines before we ate and was putting them in the oven. He asked what the special occasion was and I just said I felt like trying a new recipe. During dinner I noticed I had brownine batter all over my shirt in my stomach area (here's to already looking like I'm 3 months pregnant!). I soooo wanted to say "I guess the baby's hungry" but I kept my mouth shut the whole time!

Finally when he went into our room to change out of his work clothes I handed him a folded piece of paper and told him he needed to give it to his boss. It said "Vacation request: Requesting a week's vacation on or about February 21, 2009" (which is my EDD). He stood there looking at it saying "What?" "what?"-he was trying to figure out where I wanted to go in the middle of winter. Then he looked at me and said "Nut-ah. Are you pregnant?" I was smiling so big the whole time he was trying to think of what I was telling him I had tears in my eyes! He gave me this great big hug and all we could talk about last night was becoming parents again! It was awesome!!
