DH is at work-he works about 30 miles from where we live. Do you think I should wait to tell him when he gets home or drive in and tell him for lunch?
I also would like some ideas on how you told your DH. In the back of my mind I always wanted to wait until I had my DR appointment to tell him, but I don' tknow if I can wait that long. Man, if I took the test yesterday like I wanted to, it would have been a great father's day present!

My DH works about 25 miles away. I drove to his work to surprise him at lunch last Thursday. It was well worth it.

I've never waited, heck the past two times he was in the bathroom with me and saw the results same time I did. He would be upset if I waited to tell him, I can't blaim him we are both no waiting/no secrets type people. I have never done anything special in the way of telling him, but I know alot of moms that plan something big. I think going in for lunch together and telling him would be nice, after all you've already told us so I think he should know also!

I would definitly tell him by driving in at lunch.
I never did anything special to tell him. Last time I took the test on Mother's Day, and I came out the bathroom and told him " We just recieved the best mother's day present ever...I'm going to become a mother again!" He looked kind of stunned, even though we both pretty much knew I was pregnant.

I could never wait to tell. The first time I took a test with Bob was at night and I called my dh at the bar with his friends to tell him, lol. He didn't believe me until morning when I showed him the pregnancy test. With James I knew before the test and I prepared him the night before by saying, "I might need to take a pregnancy test tomorrow..."
Although I don't think he would be upset if I had waited until he got off work...I guess I don't consider waiting until the right time as keeping a "secret."

Definitely drive up to tell him! If there are any Father's Day cards at the store left from yesterday (which there might be, as the greeting card rep might not come in til later on to do the changeover to the next holiday), pick one up and sign it from the baby. Apologize that the card's a day late, but the real present will be even later. Or wrap the pregnancy test in a box and give it to him.

Well I didn't go for lunch. I wanted to, but I didn't want to spend the gas! So now I have to come up with some creative way to tell him tonight!

I called dh at work and told him about DD1. With DD2 he was there when I tested, I came out and said I'm pregnant. His response was "I know"
With our 3rd..whenever we'll be blessed. I'm going to have my girls wearing some shirts I make them...My oldest will say "I'm gonna be a big sister..AGAIN!" and my youngest will say "Finally I get to be a big sister too!!"
I will tell him the day I get a positive. However if he's at work. I will take a picture of our dd's in their shirts and send it to his work email.

Do like flybygrace said and put the test in a gift box and give him a fathers day card.... Just tell him that you have one more present for him that you forgot or couldn't give him yesterday...
When my Mom found out that she was pregnant with me (I was a surprise) she drove down to my dads work and put a couple pairs of booties (one pink, one blue) in his truck with a little note that said "Guess what?" LOL. I thought that was cute, but if you said that you don't want to use the gas, that wouldn't work.
I also like the idea of getting a baby blanket and wrapping up the test in that.
