my dd 8 months refuses to eat baby food. cereal, anything mushed up.

Some of you may remember that she had to go see an OT for her gagging, which was linked to her oral antibiotic...

I have been giving her cut up bits of "real" fruit and veg...

which is fine, other than convience, it would be nice to open a jar of food now and then especially since we are travelling!

lol~~~ CHILDREN!

You know, I can't say that Bob didn't like babyfood, but he didn't last very long on it, he seemed to be ready for solid big boy food very quickly. I made homemade babyfood with James and he probably would still be eating it if I would let him, lol. The dd of a friend went straight to regular food, too.

I had a similar problem with my dd.

She was able to eat the beechnut applesauce and pears. The texture worked for her. The ones she preferred were in the applesauce style cups.

Good luck

I would get canned mixed veggies and give my kids that.

She is old enough to eat regular food. Get canned veggies and fruit and chop small. Let her feed herself. Also things like crackers and toast are good.

I was chatting with my mom about eating, and I guess I refused food until I was 7 months - just refused it straight out, only would breastfeed. Then I started wanting what was on my Dad's plate, and by 9 months was eating most "adult" food, just cut/chopped up.

I think sometimes kids tend to be just the opposite of convenient! Good luck!
