I was 30 when I had my dd (she's 9 now). I was glad I waited as long as I did. I was "grown up" by then and we were financially ready (had a nice home, cars were paid off, savings and investments were built up).

My first was a few weeks before my 16 bday and my second I will have been a fresh 21 year old...

Would I change anything about it no...

Why? I got out of a bad town... I bettered myself and so did my SO (father to both)... We are better off than some people older than us..

I was 26, 28 and 29 (three months before I turned 30). I had always said I wanted to be done by 30! I would have liked to have started just a year or so earlier but we wanted to wait until we had a nice house, good investment account, and enough money for me to comfortably stay home. Overall, I'm happy with the ages I was. We got to travel lots before having kids but my youngest will leave for college while I'm still in my 40's, giving my dh and me plenty of time together while we're still young. And hopefully, plenty of years with my grandkids!

I was 30 when I had my first, and 32 when I had my second. I'm 41 now. Dh and I planned it that way. We were married for 6 years before we started a family, but we had finished up school, were working in our chosen careers, and had bought our first home. I'm a "ducks-in-a-row" kind of person, so I like to plan. Things don't always go exactly the way I intend, but I like setting goals and meeting them.

At my childrens' school, there are many parents older than we are, and not too many who started their families at a young age.

23, 26 and 27. I also wanted kids when I was young only because I wanted to be able to do the things that they do and still be able to move! just kidding!

Wow! THis has been intersesting! Such a broad range of ages, yet everybody is totally happy the way their lives have unfloded. I can't go back and change destiney but I wish I had gotten married before 3 years ago. It just wasn't the Lord's plan. We are just now getting financially stable enough and strong enough in our marriage to begin this journey.

38 and 43. We wanted to be financially stable and know that our kids would be a blessing, rather than the burden our parents seemed to always make us feel. DH wasn't sure he wanted any at all until our mid 30s. The biggest downside to being an older parent is you truly don't bounce back as you would younger, and you don't have the strength and stamina to chase them around. And we'll be 60 when they turn into adults!!

It's funny when I have friends entering into empty nest syndrome as I'm picking up toys and decorating with primary colors!

I was 22, 23, 26, 29, 32, 35 (twins), and 38!!!

I would not change one thing about it. Kids are a blessing no matter when they enter your life! We are very blessed to have such a large family. The kids all get along really well and the older ones even help with the littler ones.

My oldest does point out that he will be OLD (age 34) when the baby graduates from high school though......LOL

good luck on starting to "grow" your family!

We didn't plan any of our pregnancies. We got pregnant after only 6 months of marriage and we had wanted to have a few years to ourselves b/c we were so young and in the Army at the time. However now looking back I am glad to be a young mom b/c I'll be in my 40s when all my kids are in college and that is really nice! My dh and I will be able to travel alone together and do things that we didn't get to do much of before and we'll be young enough to enjoy it but old enough to be able to afford it! It also leaves us with alot of time to help them with college expenses before dh retires. I was 21 with #1, and am 27 now with #4 and final coming next month. I had wanted to be 25 with my first, I thought that would have been the perfect age.
