My husband and I are both 27 and we are pregnant with our first child. This is the perfect time for us. We have been married for 5 years but have been together since high school (almost 10 years altogether!) We have had lots of time together as a couple to learn about each other, travel, and be spontaneous! We are so so so happy to be bringing a child into our happy home!

The only concern we have of course is the fact that it has been just us for so long and we are so used to just doing what we want, planning last minute trips, and it just being the 2 of us. Any advice from those of you who waited awhile about how you adjusted to the new life in your home and the loss of some of the freedom you once had? We can't wait til Asher gets here but we also realize that our lives are about to change dramatically!

I was 25 when I had DS. Although I wasn't happy about the timing, at the time. I am now. I'm really glad that we were old enough but not too old. We kind of had our crap together and that was the push that we needed to straighten up a little more.

I was 23 when we got married, 27 when we had DS#1, 29 with DS#2, and 33 with DS#3. The only thing I wish was different, was I wish I had DS#3 when I was 31 instead. I just wanted them close together in age.

I was 25 with my first, 27 with my second and 31 with my third.

My husband and I were married for 16 yrs before we had children! I was 37 with DD#1 and 39 with DD#2. We would have liked to have them a little earlier but it wasn't in the overall plan. We went thru alot of infertility problems. Just when I finally accepted that I wasn't going to have children the miracle happened!!! I am glad we are older parents, financially we saved our money when we were childless and young and now I am able to be a SAHM!

Yes it is a huge adjustment from not having children for so long to having a child. It took my husband and I a little while adjusting to losing "our" time. The days of just getting up and hopping in the car to do something is over for awhile but it does get better. Now that our girls are older they can get their own shoes, coats on and the oldest one can even buckle herself in her carseat now. They are also responsible for taking their own bottle of water if we go on a trip. My husband and I were just talking the other day how it is finally getting easier to go places now. No more sippy cups dropping to the floor and having to reach back and get it.

I was 25 with my 1st and 27 with my 2nd. I think I was a perfect age (mom was 2 weeks past 20 when she had me). If I had it to do over again, I might have waited, we weren't planning on getting pregnant so early in our relationship (we were only dating 4 months), but we were already engaged and planning a Christmas Eve wedding....We moved it up to June But if we had waited, would we still have gotten the same little angels (can you tell they're being good today?) we were blessed with?
