I can't quite remember with my ds, but I think it was around 6 months. I know with dd, I started wearing clothes around 4-5 months.

I am 3 months along right now and still wearing my regular clothes. I started buying some maternity clothes off Ebay and am getting them in the mail and now I am getting excited to wear the clothes! Does that sound weird?! haha They have such cute, trendy maternity clothes now.

I'm hoping that I can get at least another month in my regular clothes before I have to start wearing any maternity clothes, but my stomach is growing. I'm doing ok on the weight gain...8-9 lbs so far. I know that is alot, but for me it isn't.. with my first two, I gained 12-15 in the first trimester and it just went downhill from there.. Maybe I eat too much.

I just don't know how girls can not gain weight during pregnancy! If I didn't work out or run, I'd probably already gain 20 lbs.!

Honestly, I had popped out enough by my eighth week in this pregnancy (my third) that my regular pants weren't comfortable anymore (I could still wear them, but it wasn't fun by the end of the day) so I pulled out my elastic band maternity capris and shorts and decided that comfort trumped vanity in this case. I don't think I really started wearing maternity clothes until about my 20th week in my first pregnancy and my 16th in my second so it was a real bummer to give in so soon, but oh well.

I'm with you on the weight gain. I'd love to be able to gain the minimum amount to still have a healthy pregnancy, but if this pregnancy is like the first two, I'll probably end up gaining between 30 and 35 pounds. I'm 24 weeks now and I've gained about 17 pounds. This is my first pregnancy where I've actually gained weight in the first trimester. I'm sure it would be much more if I didn't work out as well. Thankfully I didn't have issues losing the weight with my first two (thanks to breastfeeding and exercise). I hope that holds true this time as well.

I'm hoping that working out throughout the pregnancy will help with the weight loss after pregnancy..

What are you doing for your workouts? I get FitTV and do some shows on there along with running and walking.

I will probably get a preggo pilates dvd or maybe yoga eventually, but haven't yet.

I was 12 weeks when I was in full maternity clothes with DD. Right now my jeans still fit pretty comfortable (a little snug but its not unbareable). I still have another size to go up to in my drawer before I have to break out the maternity jeans though. Shirt wise-I love my motherhood t-shirts so I never really stopped wearing them after I had DD. My regular t-shirts are starting to get a little snug so I'm sneaking into DH's drawer (oh wait I was already doing that since I was still up 20 lbs from DD!)! I'd imagine within the next month or so I'll be in maternity shirts all together except for that lazy day of sweats and a very oversized DH t-shirt. Jeans-I probably still have about 2 months in regular before I go overboard.

That is providing I don't start eating an entire batch of Monkey Bread again like I pretty much did today!!!!

I was six months with my first, but I only gained 20 lbs with him. 16 wks with the second. Each time after that I never made it out of the first trimester without needing maternity clothes. With #5 I was so visibly pregnant by 12 weeks that neighbors whom I hadn't told I was pg were congratulating me when I'd run into on the street.

I work out with Russian kettlebells (like the one in my avatar, only smaller) three days a week. The workouts usually take about 30-45 minutes. It's mostly strength training, but some of the exercises are considered to have a cardiovascular component. I have had to reduce the weight (I use only my 18 pound kettlebell now instead of my 26 and 35 pounders), slightly modify some of the exercises, and as my pregnancy progresses, I'll have to stop doing some completely for safety reasons. One of the kettlebell DVD's I have has a guide for working out while pregnant, so that's what I'm following. I used to hop on my elliptical for 5 minutes between each set, but I cut that out because my workouts were way too long and I didn't want my kids sitting in front of the TV for all that time.

The other two days of the week (I shoot for 5 workouts a week) I either do 30 minutes on my elliptical or walk around the lake by my house (2 1/2 miles). I've been doing the walking more often than not lately both because I'm sick of the elliptical and because I've been trying to take my boys with me in order to get them out in the fresh air in the morning when it's cooler. It's not the most intense workout because they walk slower and we have to stop and look for turtles and stuff, but I do end up pushing one of the kids in the jogging stroller at all times (30+ or 40+ pounds) which actually really increases the intensity (in addition to making my hips hurt!).

I was in the best shape in years prior to getting pregnant this time thanks to the kettlebells. Once I have the baby and get some of my energy back, I'll probably try to add in some more cardiovascular (I do think that's suffered some both because of time constraints and pregnancy fatigue), but I'm really counting on the kettlebells to whip me back into shape post baby. We'll see what happens...

I started wearing maternity clothes at 4 months. I did much more walking with the second pregnancy and alot less eating. I was one of those women who took the eating for two idea way to seriously.

Good luck with your fitness!

Right away, they are so much more comfortable with the elastic waist band! I know I'm weird!
