Perhaps you are not getting them tight enough. I realize that this is your second child but boys are WAY different than girls. Remember..you need to make sure that they are tight enough that you can only get 1-2 fingers in the waist band. Most are stretch so dont worry too much about getting them "too" tight.
(I always seemed to have this problem when my husband would put the diaper on the baby. This solved it for us.)
--Don't forget to write the company about any problems you are having with their diapers as they will usually try to make you happy and you will get free or BIG coupons.--

I had the same problem with my younger son (and he's my second boy) when he was a newborn. Try making sure his penis is pointed down when you put on the diaper and make sure it is snug enough. I found that this helped a little, but didn't solve the problem every time. Once he got a little older and put on some weight the problem mostly went away, although he still does shoot straight through the side of the diaper sometimes if I'm not careful!

Oh yes! The pee-pee must be pointed down. This was the very first thing my mom told me when I had DS...best advice I got with him, next to put a washcloth over the pee-pee when you change his diaper too....just incase.

def. pointing the penis, but also, make sure that the elastic around the legs is laying right, and not twisted, kwim? I remember our pediatrician giving us both of those tips.

Thanks for the advice. I have a boy due in 3 weeks, so after a girl, this will be good advice! I've heard about covering during changes, but not about the pointing! Any other tips?
