How did you do it? I'm not much at cutting it myself.

We take our little guy to a place called hair do-zoo, it's a place that specializes in kids cuts. They have animals that the kids sit on, a t.v. with cartoons and toys to keep them distracted...... still some days it is hit and miss with him depends on his mood

For their very first haircuts I took them to cartoon cuts. I told them it was the first cut and they saved a nice piece of hair for me and I took pictures!

For Bob's first hair cut, my sd was in beauty school at the time and she cut it. He hates getting his hair cut and his grows so fast and thick, it's a real pain.

For our DS's first haircut we took him in to our good friends hair place and he sat on daddy's lap really still. Our friend gave us a certificate that said his first hair cut and she signed it and put a piece of his hair on it. I also took pics. of the day.

We had a friend cut both girls hair for the first haircut. She gave me little envelopes to save the hair in. I have lots of little curls from Lydia.

My hair salon is very good with the girls and they don't charge much. Last time they only charged me $5 for Lydia.

I've tried DIY and I'm not very good at being a hair stylist.

The lady that cuts my hair gave both my boys their first hair cut. She has a little first haircut certificate that she gives out with a little baggie to hold a bit of hair. I just held them in my lap and she cut. I'm pretty sure she did both of their "firsts" for free (I was getting my hair cut at the same time). My oldest had his first haircut at 9 months, I think and my youngest got his trimmed for the first time at 5 months (he had a lot of hair).

For my youngest I had it cut at Cost Cutters. They gave me a certificate for her baby book. Don't forget to take before and after pictures, and to bring a ziploc bag and bring home some of the hair for the baby book as well.

My MIL cut DS's (and still does). I have a little box with his hair in it tucked away.
