With our first ds I wrapped up the pregnancy test and gave it to him as a gift. With our second ds he just knew because I was acting funny and complaining that my boobs were sore. Our third ds was a complete surprise and he was away for training and I had to call him and tell him I gave birth So that was probably the most exciting announcement out of all three.

I just walked out with the pregnancy test and set it on the boat (he was working on it). He just stared at it for a bit. He's not very demonstrative :D

I don't think there was a time when I had to tell him. He seemed to always be able to tell. I guess I have symptoms that were obvious to him. At least one time he told me I was before I even took a test.

He also correctly predicted the gender of all seven of our kids before the ultrasound or birth (for the one time we didn't find out gender ahead of time).

DH knew before I did! I peed on the stick and went back to bed - I didnt think I was pregnant, and it was work-related. I got up a little bit later and came into the bathroom and he told me. I squealed and screamed and jumped up and down. And then we both called off work (so we could go tell our family and spend the day together).

The first time I took the test at Target alone, b/c it wasn't the best timing and if it was negative I didn't want to bother him with the worry. But it wasn't, so I came home to find him sitting at the computer, and I said, "Oh, good, you're sitting down." And he replied, "Did you wreck the rental car?!?!" Then I told him I'd taken a + preg. test, and he didn't say much other than he was going to wait for it to "be confirmed by a dr". I didn't tell him after my first appt that the dr didn't repeat the test--just that, yes, jackass, I really am pregnant, so accept it!

The second time was much better timing for us. I had been sick, so I brought a preg. test and two milk shakes home. I walked in, he inquired about the shakes, and I said, "I'm about to pee on a stick, and either way I think is a cause for celebration!" Having been around the preggers block once, and being in a better place financially and whatnot, he's much happier about this one!

I walked out of the bathroom and said, "I told you so!"
