My youngest is almost 6 months and she is teething. I bf, give her three meals a day of food, and my husband gives her a bottle every evening. She won't chew on anything but me. And she bites HARD.

I'm to the point of weaning her bc I can't handle it. She doesn't have teeth cut thru yet, but I'm afraid when she does she'll bite my nipple clean off! I've tried chewies, biter biscuits, cold washcloths, everything. I need a way to get her to stop biting me.

I didn't bf my other 2 this long, so I have no experience with this. She's such a good nurser, and so sweet that I don't want to stop unless nothing else works. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When she bites, try pulling her in real tight (smashing her face into your breast). She'll quickly learn that biting only gets her an uncomfortable result.

that is what I did with dd too, smushed her in she has stopped, I do notice though that towards the end of a feeding, if she is not sleeping, she will start to play and that is when it happens, so I close shop early

Only my oldest did that, and man did she hurt! Every time she did it I took her off the breast right away and said no bite.

My 6 month old just started doing the same thing and he has teeth. A friend of mine told me that the best way to get him to stop is to flick him in the cheek, say NO firmly and put him down for a few minutes. My friend says it is the only thing that worked for her. I just can't bring myself to do it, but I don't want to stop breastfeeding either.

I did the same thing with my son. If the smushing him in didn't stop him, and he did it again. I immediately took him off and told him no-firmly- and stopped that session. It didn't take him long to learn not to do that.
