The day after the funeral, the family found out what took Bryson-he had a heart attack. They were able to revive him once, but then he had either a stroke or another heart attack and couldn't revive him.

The doctor told him that if babies could talk as soon as they were born, he would have looked into his mama's eyes and said "my chest hurts". That's because he ended up having an extra blood vessel connected to his heart. Instead of pumping blood out of the heart and into the rest of the body, it was putting it back in the heart. So the heart was working overtime to pump all this blood and the rest of the body was starving of oxygen.

After the parents told the rest of the family, a cousin on the dad's side said that he had a cousin that died of the exact same thing when he was a baby. So they are thinking its something genetic and any future children they have will have to be tested for this condition.

So if the dad's not already feeling the loss of his newborn son, he is then told that its his genes that caused it. If all of that isn't bad enough-he is suspossed to be depolyed to Iraq at the end of the month! His doctor is trying to say he's not mentally fit to leave, but he doesn't know if they will let him stay here or not.

What a horrible week for this family. This time las week their son was born and a week tomorrow he was taken away.

That is so sad. But, at least they know what happened and can test in the future when or if they have another baby.
