Homemade just exudes "made special with love" to me! So, how are you surrounding your baby with Homemade Love!

My babies received some beautiful homemade quilts and afghans. A great aunt crocheted some gorgeous bibs for DD. A college colleague sent DD a beautiful embroidered bib, and an embellished a cloth diaper with ribbon and embroider for use as a spit-up rag. Then there are homemade wipes, homemade baby food, and homemade nursery decorations (a friend made a beautiful scrapped poem that I later framed and hung in DD's room).

How do you/will you surround baby in Homemade Love?

I've always made my own baby food and, of course, breastmilk is homemade too (). My mom made me some pretty burp cloths for my second (the kind with the ribbon sewed at each end of a cloth diaper) and I have two crocheted blankets (one from my aunt and one from my mil). Oh, and a friend from church has made each of my boys a cross stitch with their name and birthdates, etc. that she frames. I have them both hanging in the nursery. She's making another one for this baby even though she's moved to the Eastern Shore and doesn't even go to our church anymore.

I had some adorable sundresses that I purchased at a craft show for DD, too. They were only $3 each and so cute! The lady that made them was so excited about her work. She was so sweet that you just knew she made every dress with tender love and care. We also have a homemade diaper bag made by the same lady that I love.

We have lots of homemade blankets, sweaters and hats that were gifts from grandparents, great grandparents, aunts & friends. My grandmother did a cute cross stitch for DD and my grandfather made the frame for it. I plan on cutting fabric squares from some of DD's old outfits to make her a blanket. but I am not sure I want to cut up all of her old clothes. I also plan on making a baby scrapbook and some shaddow boxes. Hopefully I will be able to make homemade baby food, at least most of the time!
