My husband and I got a wipes warmer at one of our baby showers. It was almost $30 and we are thinkning about taking it back to get something we think we would get more use out of. I have friends who had one and never really used it much and others who love it but also some of them said the wipes would sometimes dry out and turn brown which leads me to think it could be a fire hazard! So do any of you just love your wipes warmer and really recommend I keep it or is it something my son could do without?

I used to take a couple of wipes and wad them up in my hand. It only took a minute to warm to my body temperature. By that time I had gathered up the baby and the diaper and the wipes were warm and ready to go.
And I'm free!

I had one with my dd. Nice concept but it just didn't do really what it was supposed to. Like your friend, the wipes would dry out and/or turn brown. I ended up not using it after a couple months.

I would've never spent $30 on one, that is for sure. If I were you, I would take it back and get something that you can really use.

I had one with my oldest and I hated it.
I would take it back and get more things you need.
good luck

Dh and I will be taking the wipes warmer back this weekend! Thanks for the quick replies! I had never thought about just holding them in your hand for a bit to warm them-makes sense and it's free!

Yikes, I must be a mean mom!!!!!

I have never warmed the wipes, I just grab them out of the container and start wiping....................none of my kids have ever complained (or even jumped) because the wipes were cold.

Has anyone ever tried a wipe on their own bottom to see just how cold they really seem?
