So I just took my last bc pill on Saturday night and once aunt flo comes and goes this week we will offically be ttc #2

It took us almost 2 years to get pregnant with ds so am hopeful that it will be quicker this time.

I have PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrom) does anyone have any idea if it is easier to get pregnant the second time around?

honestly, probably not easier, but probably not harder. I would try to watch your carb intake, see if that helps...

good luck! have you checked out the book P.C.O.S??? it is very helpful

I have PCOS and long story short:

Jared took us over 2 years to conceive plus lots of fertility meds to ovulate etc. I nursed Jared for 9 mo. Had one period when he was 7 mo and one when he was like 9.5 mo - didn't have one again. We decided not to use BC because of how hard it was for us to conceive and thought we would need more meds. When he was about 1, I started feeling nauseous in the a.m. Took a pregnancy test and flipped out!!! Maggie was on the way. They are 19 months apart. As I tell friends, in 37 months there was only one month that I wasn't nursing or pg.

So, for me the second was easier, but I wasn't on any hormones either...

I don't know anything about PCOS but I've heard that just because it takes you a long time the first time doesn't mean it will the second time.

Sending you some baby dust! I will gladly pass along my morning sickness to someone!

PCOS makes conceiving difficult b/c the woman doesn't ovulate regularly if at all. If you don't ovulate (drop of egg) then there is nothing for the sperm to attach.

For a woman with PCOS, it is almost always difficult to conceive. My Maggie is my miracle.
