EDITED: got my period today, at day 39. Out the window goes my 11 months of being regular at 28 day cycles....

I'm sorry that your body isn't acting the way you'd like it to. Day 39? What were you when you were so stressed out from the wedding? Wasn't it around then too? Was there anything that made you stressed this time around?

Nope! When my cycle started, I was up north visiting my family. For a few days it was crazy b'c my husband was sick, but then it normalized. Around time of ovulation there wasn't any planning anything, any family activities, or projects. Just normal daily life.. *shrug*

In June, I finally got my period at day 44. My standard cycle for 11 months was 28/29 days. In June I had a 43 day cycle, July was 28 and now August is 38.

Didn't you say you would be able to see a doctor in August? Is that still going to happen? I know that you've had some wacky advice from your OBGyn in the past about what to do/not do to get pregnant (BC pills and all), but I would think that a good doctor would be able to give you at least some insight into what's been going on with your cycle. Some testing wouldn't hurt either.

My heart hurts for you! I really hope that things work out soon for you guys.

We were supposed to start our health insurance a couple weeks ago and still nothing. I hope it starts the beginning of next month....

We're discussing seeking fertility treatments, but we need health insurance coverage (if it does cover it!)... We're also discussing adoption.. Thanks for the prayers! Send some baby dust my way!!!!! :D

You know I am sending you a big hug I hope you get some positive news soon so you can move forward, insurance is so frustrating!

I was just talking to a Mom at playgroup today, she had been bugging her ob for the last 6 months to test her hormones, etc (she mc 6 mos ago), they didn't because she is very physically fit, if not underweight, and they saw no reason. Well, her ob finally tested her hormones and prescribed progesterone for her, she is so peeved because she knew something was going on and they didn't listen to her. So keep standing up for yourself and see what your ob can do, if they are not responsive then change to a new ob.

I've already tried progesterone, estrogen and a mix of both, as well as the new hormone that isn't either but something different. My body cannot tolerate any of it. I'm not sure if we have to get an OB's referral to a fertility specialist; I need to find that out.

Can you call your insurance company to see when it will kick in? Do you have a list of what all is covered? You can always call a fertility specialist and see if you need a referral to see them. It would probably also depend on your insurance, but I know with mine I don't need a referral to see a specialist.
