When my DH and I got married, we agreed we wanted three. After my son was born and blessed us so much---we had opposite reactions. He says "We lucked out, let's try to go one more time to get a girl and be done" and having my son and seeing how much he has blessed us makes me wanting 4 or 5.

So how many kids do you have or want to have?

I have 3 sisters and my parents have 4 siblings each. So I always wanted a larger family. DH has 1 sister and his parents each had 1 sibling too. So he always planned on having 2.

When I found out he wanted 2, I told him I wanted 4 so he'd settle on 3 with me. I KNEW I wanted more than 2, beyond that I wasn't sure. SO, we now have 3 and I occasionally ask if he's sure he doesn't want more and he's sure.

SO - we have 3 and we're done. Of course you never know, right?

Well when we got married we thought it would be a long shot for us to get pregnant... docs had told DH that he had a 99% possibility of NEVER being able to father a child. So we went in with the idea that none was okay but we would try for at least one. Well, within a month of our wedding I was pregnant. Sadly I miscarried. However, we were able to concieve DD 6 months later. She is such a blessing. And now we are expecting again! DH says that he is not getting me pregnant again ( he hates how sick and moody I have been)... but I would like to try for at least one more. I come from a large family and DH is an only child. But if we only have 2 then I would be happy too.

Come November we'll have three which is what we originally agreed upon. Four is a possibility but not a probability. Time will tell.

We didn't have any set number in mind. Now we have seven and I can't have another per doctor's orders. Our family feels very complete as it is, so we're just thankful for that.

I always wanted about 8 kids. We agreed on 3. Then when dh and i got married and started trying we had fertility issues. It took us five years to have our oldest and then we had our second three years later. We weren't using any kind of protection for those three years. It took awhile but we felt very blessed when we got preggers without treatment.
I would like one more but i'm 37 already. Haven't been using protection really for five years and nothing as of yet.

One more would be nice but then i think about the lack of sleep and etc.....

It's in God's hands. He'll give us what He knows we can handle.

My dh already had kids and didn't want any more. I wasn't planning on having kids, either, but got pregnant with Bob while on the pill. Then came Jamie. Dh is happy at this, but I would have gladly had 2 or 3 more.

Our daughter (14 mos) was a surprise for us, but half way thru the pregnancy we decided we'd want another...now that she's here and we're obsessed with every adorable aspect of her, it's hard to restrain ourselves from having a dozen. But 2 is probably more realistic than that, and we're planning for that in about 2 more years.

We have three boys together and dh has a son from his first marriage. We are very happy with four boys and are 100% positive that we are done having kids. However, our mothers would like it if we kept going until we had a girl. Not gonna happen!
