on the anniversary of m/c's?

One of mine is coming up, and I try not to dwell on it too much, but I am finding myself sad....

I think of mine every year on the date it happened. I don't think I'll ever forget. I find comfort that on the first anniversary of our miscarriage, we baptized our son, who was conceived two months after our miscarriage.

Hug your girls and be thankful for the two beautiful babies. I'm sorry for your loss.

I was okay the first year after the m/c as I was pregnant with DD, but this year I was very sad and did not even realize it until DH pointed it out. I just focused on DD and DH on that day and was thankful for the blessings that I have.

The anniversary of mine is right around Thanksgiving. It does make me a little bit sad thinking about it - especially at that time of year, but I think it's okay to remember and be a little bit sad. Since I'm usually doing Christmas shopping around that time, I always make sure to give a donation to some sort of children's charity (Children's Miracle Network, etc.) in honor of the baby I lost.

I let myself think about it so it doesn't come out in another way, like anger. And then after allowing myself to mourn, I try to do something to distract me. I'm fortunate to have 2 gorgeous children, so I revel in them. But we do talk about the three we've lost. On the middle one, I lost both my baby and my black persian cat on the same day. It was a very difficult time.

thanks ladies, my m/c came at strange times, one around christmas ( after I sent out my christmas letter stating I was preg ) one on mothers day and one around now....

I do have 2 beautiful children, I am blessed. I guess it is something not really talked about, and if you do, most people say stupid things, like "oh it was god's way of taking care of a problem", or "you'll have another soon"

But, it is good to mourn a bit, becuase it was a loss of something special....

hugs to all you ladies
