Made this for years & whole family loves it. Original recipe called for 1 lb ground beef cooked, but last time I made it I substituted frozen, drained spinach & they still loved it.

7 oz spaghetti, broken in thirds
1 box frozen chopped spinach, thawed & drained well
1/2 c chopped onion
3 minced garlic cloves
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp oregano
1/4 t ground pepper
28 oz can tomatoes, cut up ( or can used diced)
6oz tomato paste
4oz can mushrooms, drained
1 c mozzarella cheese
1/3c grated parmesan cheese

Cook & drain the spaghetti. Mix with the sauce mixture (all rest of ingredients except the cheeses). Place half of cooked spaghetti and sauce mixture in 11 x 9 pan sprayed with Pam. Sprinkle with 1c mozzarella cheese. Top with remaining spaghetti mixture and sprinkle with 1/3 c parmesan cheese. Bake 375 for 30-40min. Will feed 6 if you serve with side of veggies or salad and french/italian bread.
