Hello everyone!! I am new to the site. I currently work full time for a design firm, but will soon be quiting to stay at home with my 17 month old son. I am VERY excited and looking forward to learning all about money saving tips. I am already motivated after reading some of the Monthly challenges. Especially with Christmas on the way!

Thank your for the kindness ladies!! So far, I have enjoyed reading the columns on this website. I am sure that there are going to be some major changes when I quit work. I just hope it all works out well!! Sometimes I wonder if I will get bored, but at the same time I predict that being a SAHM should be a lot of work too. I guess it will just be different! I feel quite lucky and blessed that I have the opportunity to stay home with my son. It is something we never expected to do! I think I just always figured I would be a working Mommy.

jlkhorn--I currently live on the North side of Indianapolis. But at the end of December we will be moving to NW Indiana (Highland). I grew up on the East side of Indianapolis, and went to Purdue in Lafayette. So, I suppose I have lived all around Indiana! Where are you located?

I just found this site myself and I love it! I am a SAHM for the most part, but I do work sometimes in the evening just to bring in some extra $$. I also have a home based business. I think its sites like these and my mom's group that keeps me from being bored and I'm sure you'll find lots of ways to fill your time!

I too am from Indiana! My husband graduated from Purdue and we still live in the greater lafayette area. I work part time as a nurse and supplement my income with a direct sales biz. I am loving the articles as well. I can use advice in this stage of the game! My kids are 3 and 1.
