Rebecca! I live in Texas. Currently I am staying(working) at home full time. I am mom to three children ages 8, 5 and 20 months, wife to my hubby (sometimes I am not a very nice wife but at wife all the same).
Hold on. My daughter wanted to show me she could burp the alphabet.
Continuing on, my mother has recently moved into our family household and has been a tremendous help. We also have two four legged children named Jazz (chihuahua) and Bandit(doberman-beagle). So as you can imagine, our life is always busy and mostly a very expensive proposition.
I have always been *pretty* good at not spending more than I have to but we as a family have not always followed a strict budget or planned for expenses as much as we could. We have been working hard at establishing a budget, getting caught up on bills and planning to spend cash only for christmas. So far I think we have done real well. We are ready for Christmas and will not be paying for it in January and February too severely. With 6 humans and two canines in our househould bills and expenses ADD UP QUICK. I am on a mission to spend as little as I have to for almost everything we need.
I'm doing the Dave Ramsey thing and during my budget time today I realized my pennies are going to be screaming from January through April. Yes, I'm planning that far ahead. So I have my goals written out and I am looking forward to starting off January on a very good foot. But what we want and need to do over the next four months will be stressful. Which is why I am here. There will probably be more than one or two instances while we are paying off debt that I am going to think "This is too hard, we just can't do this" and I know I need a support group and plenty of stress outlets and advice.
So here I am on mommysavers asking a group of perfect strangers to be my strength while I go on this journey toward financial peace of mind. I look forward to getting to know some new friends and to share experiences with each other.
Have a wonderful day and thanks to all who read my biography.
Much appreciation from Rebecca
