I don't even remember! I think via a web search a couple years ago...but I've just gotten involved recently.

Honestly I typed in money for moms on Google-but looked for a forum type address rather than the hook you scams. So glad I did.

I didn't realize that it had forums, but I too am glad I came across a place with other moms that I can talk to. You know how it can be talking to kids all day, you begin to lose your mind, lol.

I found mommysavers like 6 years ago. I am pretty sure I did a search after I had my 1st ds in Apr 2001, at that point I was a SAHM, basically I got laid off while I was on maternity leave, I knew it was coming and it didn't have anything to do w/ me being pregnant. And I wanted to make a go at staying home. Which I did for 9 months, then I was ready to go back to work part time. Mostly for me.
I have always referred back to this site looking for deals and bargains why I am shopping online. And just for ideas for saving money.
I haven't been to into the boards until recently. I have never been one to chat too much online, so this part of it is fairly new to me.
But now I can say I log on just about everyday to see if I can learn something new, or find a freebie here or there!

I was searching for stay at home mom sites - because I am one! Love seeing the tips on frugal living on this site, though! Looking forward to reading more!

I found the site thanks to the 1001 Baby Bargains book - I think that's the right title. Got the book from the library, and have recommended it to a few people now. I don't have time to hang out a lot here, but I do my best. The 50-post requirement for the Bartering board will be incentive to spend more time here.
