I am new to this site! IT SOUNDS GREAT!! I found it by accident when I googled stay at home mom. I can't wait to see what y'all are about!!! I absolutely need to be a saver!!
I am 42 (43 next month), married (2nd time for both of us) to the love of my life, Russ, for 8 years. I have 2 step-sons: Adam, 17 and Chris, 16 who we have custody of. They are back and forth between us and their mom. They are great guys and we love it when they are with us. We have 2 children we adopted from Ukraine 5.5 yrs ago: John Mark is 9 and in the 3rd grade, and Mallie is 7 and in the 2nd grade. They are the light of my life!!!
We live in Homewood, AL. (a small city just south of Birmingham, AL) My husband is a manufacturers' rep and travels AL, MS and the FL panhandle.
Mallie and John Mark are playing Upward Basketball. Mallie is in Brownies and takes Ballet. John Mark has some slight developemental delays still (he was 4 when we adpoted him and the size of a 9 month old) so he keeps me busy working extra hard to stay caught up in school. We have a fantastic school!!
I am our elementary school's PTO pres-elect so I spend most of my spare time with the school. (Edgewood Elementary)
I also try to squeeze in some church, exercise, painting, crafting, junking, beach, and socializing.
That's it, I'm pretty boring but I love my life and can't believe how blessed I am.

Hi. My name is Jamie. I just found this site. I'm a brand new mom (my son is almost 7 months old) and I'm a SAHM. I've been feeling pretty worthless lately, trying to fill the days with things to do. My son is wonderful...I love him so much but I'm feeling overwhelmed. I don't get enough adult stimulation. I've tried a local mom's group but haven't really felt connected to anyone, at least enough to share my thoughts, emotions, trials, and so on. I'm hoping to connect here. Anyone who has any advice or encouragement would be greatly appreciated. I'm just feeling a llittle discouraged.
