Just wanted to say hello and how much I love the forums

Hi:

My name is Randi and live in San Diego. My husband and I have recently gained custody of our two wonderful grandchildren ages 6 and 4 after the loss of our beloved daughter to a home fire two years ago and a long and bitter custody battle with our ex-son-in-law. It saddens us tremendously that we now have to become the "parents" instead of grandma and papa to our grandbabies, but to have them with us and to them having a better life, it is well worth it. We love our grandbabies with every bit of our hearts.

Thank you to everyone who posts such wonderful discussions and to all the great freebies you go to the trouble of listing for all of us.

Welcome to the forums. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my sister last year and have guardianship to her daughter after a year long court battle. I can sympathize with what you have gone through. I know you will like it on here and I'm sure you will have a lot to contribute.

Welcome!! My most sincere concolences on the loss of your child. We have quite a bit in common. I also lost a child (though he was 6 at the time) and I have a grandson who lives with us.
