Hello Ladies,

I just joined this forum - the first one I've joined since reading tons of posts on various websites during my pregnancy. I like the site and am adjusting to being a SAHM at the moment, so thought I'd give membership a try and get my voice out there for once...

I'm Ruth, am 29, happily married and the ecstatic mother of Jackson Leo, who is now 4 months old. We live in Stuttgart, Germany and have just moved into an old house that we have completed renovated. Lemme tell ya, moving to a single income, providing for a baby, and attempting to remodel and decorate a new place - all at the same time! No big surprise that I'm keen to find opportunities to work from home online. Any leads are welcome.

In my other roles, I am also a high school math teacher at the local international school here. I love my job and I love teaching. I plan on going back part-time in the next school year.

Am looking forward to getting to know you all!

Ruth

Are you military by any chance? I have family in Germany right now. They were in Stuttgart and have most recently moved to Bavaria. We have friends in Longstul or maybe Ramstein...can't remember.

I worked at the International School of Naples when we were stationed there. I LOVED IT. They kids were amazing. I hope you have the same wonderful experience.

Glad to have you here! It does sound like your plate is full, but it will all be good. There is great advice on this board.
I'm an English teacher and would love to teach abroad. Enjoy!!

Christy,

No I'm not military - my husband is German and we are just plain old civilians. It's great for our son, though, because he now has dual citizenship (or he will, as soon as I get around to registering him at the embassy...) and he'll grow up bilingual. All very cool!
