Hi all! This seems like a pretty neat place to hang out, though I'm not technically a SAHM... yet. But my baby boy is due in five weeks, and with only two more weeks to go at my job, I'm getting pretty excited about my upcoming career change!

I'm wondering.... do any of you actually make money online with any of those paid-survey-things, or data-entry-things, or any of the other work-from-home sites that are advertised all over the internet? They mostly look like scams, so I'm curious to actually talk with someone who actually has some kind of success with those. Or are any of you involved with Quixtar? How about successfully earning money from home doing medical transcription or billing?

I want to be able to make some money from home, but I'm not sure where to start. I'm leaning towards eBay, but I have nothing really of value around my house to sell to get started. I'm still looking for the perfect opportunity where someone pays me to do something I love, like playing Scrabble, or learning foreign languages or something .

Take care, all! Hey, any of you moms live in NH, too?

Welcome Sarah and congratulations!
You can find a lot of great information surfing through the forums regarding surveys and work at home companies. I know that there are some out there it just takes a little researching. Good luck and welcome aboard!!

Welcome! I'm still looking for that job that pays me to stay at home too! LOL

Just be careful to not get scammed when looking for WAH (work at home) opportunities. You can definitely get some great information about savings and such here!

Welcome to the board! I immediatlely noticed the Quixtar and have to say that we did not have a great experience with it. We put a lot of effort into it and it ended up putting a big strain on our marriage at the time. I would not recommend it at all from my experience.

Welcome, the best money saving advice i can give you now before the baby is born, is to start buying diapers now, a couple of bags a week and you won't have to run out to buy them for a little while after the baby is born. It was a life saver for me!!!
