Hello everyone. I'm from Illinois, married with 4 kids (21,17,11,8). I've been a stay at home mom since 1986. Did childcare for a few years and now take calls for my dh business in our home. I have no idea how I stumbled across this sight but I surfed it all day yesterday and still have more to check out and absolutely love it. With the economy the way it is, I have been searching for ways to cut corners and have found plenty of tips here along with debt solving solutions--I did order the Dave Ramsey book too--and am learning so much more. To bad there wasn't a sight like this years ago when I first started having kids. Thanks.

Hello,

I am a SAHM from PA who has been getting Mommysavers newsletters for quite awhile! I have continued to enjoy the bargain tips and gathering of like people (Mommies!!) but haven't "joined" until I saw something about sales items.

My husband and I have two children, Katie 4 /12 and Geoffrey 1 1/2. We put family first always, and I am hoping to find others here who are similar.

As my user name implies, I do sell Avon, after having sold Southern Living at HOME but stopping after my son was born due to the pace. After not doing a direct sales job for awhile, I really, really missed it! So, after buying Avon for the nth time, I thought why not sell it! One year later, I am happy to be a part of the company, continue to bring $ into the household, and embrace the chance to meet new people and be creative.

My husband and I struggle with the materialism of the world, the hectic pace we watch others putting their kids thru, and we sometimes feel like "is there anybody out there?" Thank goodness for good friends, but I enjoy meeting others who share the same basic foundation and values.

I love to find bargains or more organic ways to live, i.e. using vinegar instead of Mr. Clean (cheaper and healthier. We try to eat as non-processed as we can, but we certainly do not avoid all pre-prepared items but we are conscious of our choices.

One of our biggest parenting goals is to shape our children to be respectful, helpful, thoughtful, assertive - decent human beings. Again, we see so much of the disrespect from children to other adults (often the parents) and we strive to teach them now so they don't walk into the world expecting but rather earning.

I am anxious to find my way thru this site - crafts, recipes, organization :happy dance: , and just a general meeting of the minds. How fortunate to have a place like this to go to!

Thank you for taking the time to read! Have a nice summer!!

Hi,

My name is Amber. I have been a SAHM since Feb. of 2007. I found out that I was pregnant in January. I am due with my third little bundle in October of 2007. I enjoy being a SAHM and student. At times it is hard for me because I have been working since I was 15. But, I have enjoyed this pregnancy more because I haven't had to work. I think I will try to find a part-time job after my DS is born. So, far God has blessed us so much.
