RULES AND REGULATIONS
RESPECT
In your posts no flaming, inappropriate language or disrespectful behavior is allowed. No false or misleading, profane, illegal, or objectionable material is allowed. Any postings that don't abide by these rules will be removed.
COPYRIGHT
You may not post any material that infringes on any third party’s copyright, patent, trademark or proprietary rights. Likewise, you may not copy and paste the material of any other member without their consent. Material posted on this board is intended to stay within the Mommysavers domain (which includes but it not limited to: discussion forums, Mommysavers.com, and the Mommysavers newsletter).
SPAM
No spam, advertising, or solicitation of any kind is allowed in the forums or in private messaging. Examples include but are not limited to, survey rewards, home businesses, commercial websites, referral programs, and pyramid schemes. Mommysavers referral/affiliate links are allowed and appreciated. Purchases made through these links help keep this site a free resource.
MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS/IDs
While we discourage the practice of creating secondary user names on your account, we are aware there are times when it may be necessary. We ask that should the need arise, that you contact a moderator before creating the name. Any multiple user IDs created without notifying a moderator will be subject to deletion. This is to prevent "sneaky spams" and posts that may occur.
PRIVACY
Please keep in mind that Mommysavers is a public web site. Never provide confidential information such as your address, phone number or password to others. Mommysavers cannot guarantee the privacy of any information you place in your messages or signature on our site. We reserve the right to promote content on our discussion boards within the site itself, the Mommysavers newsletter, and related promotional items. Your e-mail address will never be shared with third parties.
LINKING POLICIES
There seems to be some confusion regarding our policies, so hopefully this will clear things up.
Articles/Tips:
Many times articles you read will prompt a discussion question. It's perfectly acceptable to reference them here - and encouraged! - as long as you respect the author's copyright. We don't allow copying and pasting of copyrighted materials in their entirety to protect the authors. If you do reference an article, we suggest you post a link along with it to the original article. It is generally accepted to cut and paste a small quote or section from the article for basis of discussion, but not the entire thing.
Deals/Coupons:
As far as posting deals go, we like to post directly to the deal or coupon itself if at all possible instead of going through other sites. For example, if you find a great Gap.com coupon code, post the code itself instead of routing the member through another site. Gap.com would be considered the "author" of the coupon code, not the other site, and should be given credit.
Members who post links solely to promote their own websites and commercial blogs are typically considered spam and will be deleted. We do encourage moms in business, if done through the proper channels. That's what our Networking Forum is set up to accomplish.

New Signature Linking Policy:
We have expanded our signature linking policy to accomodate members interested in promoting their commercial blogs, referral sites and businesses. All forum members are now allowed to post one-line text links to outside blogs and websites as long as they provide a reciprocal link back to Mommysavers.com.
- The page you link to within your signature line must also include an easily visible clickable hyperlink back to Mommysavers.com or the Mommysavers.com forums. (For example, if you post a link to blogspot.com/mypage within your signature, the Mommysavers.com link MUST ALSO be visible on blogspot.com/mypage)
- Your self-promotion text must not exceed one line in length
- Linking applies to text links only (no graphics, buttons or blinkies can be used as hyperlinks or advertisements for your blog or site).
- If you have 100 or more posts, feel free to use our Networking Forum for additional exposure for your site/business.
We also html code that allows you to place the Mommysavers logo on your blog (this is optional):
TERMINATION
Mommysavers has the right to terminate, without notice, communications to or from any individual who violates these rules.
