I've been enjoying the threads for about a month now and decided to go ahead and join. I like the positive vibe in the forums and great ideas on living frugally!
My husband and I are expecting our first child, a boy, at the end of August and I've definitely started nesting. I have this extreme urge to get the house and finances in order over the summer, especially since I will be staying at home once the baby is born.
One hurdle -- a husband who, unlike me, is not used to budgeting and VERY used to spending money on whatever he "needs" at each moment. The good thing is we definitely agree that having me stay at home is the best option for our new family and have talked about the sacrifices that we will have to make. I'm just trying to ease him into it now : )
