I am new here, obviously. I just left an old board over a disagreement in beliefs.

I am looking for a place free of drama and no mommy wars.

I stay up late at night, my husband works the night shift, so I am lonely and looking for company from people who actually talk lol

My son is 21mths old today, I am 24yr old stay at home mom. I was born in new zealand and now live in the western suburbs of chicago with my husband.

I use cloth wipes on my son, and cloth toilet paper for myself, I am still breastfeeding, and my son was not circed. My son watches alot of tv, he loves blues clues and elmos world, and I will not apolagise for it. I try to follow attachment parenting, but I am also following my childs cues. I do not and will not boycott nestle nor walmart.... and That is the reason I left the other place. I am sick of fighting with people, I belive we as mothers are here to support each other and provide company, not tear each other apart and demean.

We are currently having my son evaluated by early intervention for possible sensory intergration disorder or sensory issues. So if there are any other moms dealing with similar issues, I would be happy to connect with you.

I like to cross stitch, read and listen to music (all types).

FIrst of all welcome to Mommysavers! We welcome everyone with open arms. Although there may be an occasional scuffle or 2 you will not find anyone here demeaning the other in anyway! How rude to even think that people would do that! I mean yes people do disagree but here we do it in a respectful way.
Check out our Special Needs section I believe that there are other mommies here that could give you some great tips and advice on sensory issues. Again welcome and jump right in!

Thank you!

What suburb are you in? I'm in Lake in the Hills, just south of Crystal Lake.

Welcome! I am a mod over in the Special Needs forum, so please stop in and introduce yourself and your family. You will see that there are a few of us, including me, over there dealing with sensory issues (my son is also Aspergers).

I can't promise no drama on Mommysavers; we have some spicy ladies on here, but they are intelligent, nice and supportive. It's a great community.

By the way, I'm still nursing. My dd is 23 mo. old. Often I wish we'd stop, but other times I'm so glad we still do it - it gets her down for a nap!!!

While some may boycott Walmart, it is their choice. The diversification of our community is one thing that is so appealing. These ladies are intelligent and eloquent enough to voice their opinions in ways that make you want to read both sides of the issue.

Enjoy!

I'm so curious to see what you can tell me about how it's changed since I lived there. (I moved away in 1999.)

And I'm sure you can tell by the time of my post that I'm a nightowl too!

Welcome to Mommy Savers! You'll find that it's quite addicting!
