I am new to this site and I am very eager to learn how to use it.

I have a 2 year old baby boy and I sometimes run of ideas on things to keep him occupied to develop his learning skills. I am open to any suggestions from all those moms who would be willing to share any ideas.

Thanks.

They like having a book read to them any time of the day

I usually read to them after breakfast.....and then again after snack....and then again before bedtime. However, Ty has been picking out books and just bringing them to me on a random basis lately. It's quite cute!

The poll needs another option - the best time to read to your children is ALL THE TIME. Anytime they want to read do it! But I chose bed time becaue that is one of my favorite memories - reading and talking and snuggling.

I also firmly believe to raise children who read is to read yourself. Let them see you read too! The libraian knows me and my kids by name (something my mom finds funny ) but I think is really great. She will tell my son when a new book in his current favorite series came in. How cool is that?

If I had to choose one, I said before naptime. Before bedtime is too hectic trying to make sure teeth are brushed, pj's on, prayers said, and get everyone in bed ON TIME!! In the mornings, we are in a rush to get kids off to school. Naptime works most everyday..and then we also read when the big kids come home from school.
