Hello, My name is Cortney and as you can probably tell, I'm new to mommysavers. I'm a new mom too. My daughter Lena was born in Feb. My husband of a little over two years and I seem to be spending money like crazy on things "you just have to have". I'm looking forward to saving a little money especially now that Lena is about to start solids. I can't believe how much baby food can cost (probably because I'm nursing so I havn't even had to buy formula yet). I looking for someone to kind of take me under their wing and help me understand some of the things I don't about this site... and internet lingo too. This is my 1st week on the net and I'm not sure about some things. You would not believe how long it took me to figure out that pm meant personal message (right?). Okay a little more about myself: I'm 21, Live in Michigan, Stay at home mom, libra. I like reading, photography and finding ways to save money, next only to spending time with my family. I'm also a Christian (but not the preaching kind so don't let that scare you off).

I saved a ton of money on baby food by buying a Magic Bullet. I used foods the rest of the family ate/eats and just blended it. It works so fast and the food is nutritious and delicious. You can use the containers that come with the magic bullet for freezer, fridge, micro and then pop them in the dishwasher. It really is a great tool. Even if you don't have babes. Welcome to mommysavers. I am new to the site too!!
